Yes it is true our little man has turned one. He is no longer a baby and is now considered a toddler. Needless to say he is everywhere and keeping us on our toes. Thank goodness for the invention of baby gates.
We had a great 1st birthday party for Jack on the Bay. The weather ended up cooperating for us for a couple hours, we had sunny and blue skies. Jack was beyond spoiled with a ton of great new toys and clothes. I was busy for a couple of days putting a couple of them together. Now that they have taken over our living room we are having a lot of fun playing and singing with each one.
Some changes since he has turned one... he now has 7 teeth in, or are in the process of coming in. Why we get 2 in three days is more then I can handle or understand. He is drinking milk and not formula, he is drinking out of a sippy cup and not a bottle. Well a bottle in the middle of the night, that war is not worth fighting at 2am. He doesn't want to sleep in his crib, only our bed, which means we are not sleeping. Have you watched a baby sleep? They sleep sideways and with their head at the end of the bed. He loves to read and read and read. He makes up his own story, it's so cute. He copies sounds that you make. My favorite is when we play with his new boat in the bath tub and he makes the noise after me when we push it around.
Here is a good pic of him digging into his cake. I'll post more good ones soon.
